I teach basic computer skills and web design for a living and on Friday one of my lovely participants gave me the most gorgeous bunch of native flowers as well as a lovely succulent in a pot.

While at my local quilt shop I picked up a gorgeous mustard from the range ‘A journey through time’ and since I can never stop at just one I picked up a couple more. Mostly on a mustard theme which is one of the colourways I’m trying to build up in my stash.

To see the details of the fabrics you’ll need click on the image.  I have started to put the detail of fabrics on the images as often when I’m looking at a blog I’ll want to know exactly what fabric it is, in case I want to pick up a piece. I think this probably shows my detail oriented, library background.

I’ve also run up a very rough, quick cover for my Kobo from scraps left over from having quilt tops quilted.

I’m getting ready to go to the Central Goldfields Quilters retreat next weekend. I haven’t been away to a quilting retreat before so I’m quite excited but have lots to do to get ready, so I best be off to finish those borders as well as everything on my agenda.
